I mentioned this in my 24 hour comic, but the currency i made up for New Canis is the Laika (named after the first dog i space!) represnted by a L with a dash through it... for my benefit it has a similar exchange rate as the South African Rand...

Laika's got about the same exchange rate as the rand? Then that means that 500 Laikans are about $65..

Isn't that a bit much for a videogame? (I'm assuming that it IS a videogame, since it is a videogame store)

they make us pay out the nose for XBOX and PS2/3 games here... a new one thats very popular (ie: Halo at release) was about R550

Older ones and platinum ones are way more reasonable... hence why all my games are platinum... *waiting... patiently... for Burnout Paradise... to... get .... CHEAPER!*

HAH! Here in Mozambique, platinum games for PC reach the $50 standard..

X-Box and PS games..don't get me started!

At first, I thought the "Laika" symbol was a "t"...
Oh well.

Fortunatly... or unfortunatly for me the font i use doesn't have lowercase letters... so its fairly easy to spot, but means 2 seconds more photoshopping for me...

£40+ for new games here, often £50+

That's $80-$100 USD...

UK = expensive
